Bird Joins Momentum Risk Solutions to Lead PV Underwriting

Matt Bird has resigned from Talbot to join Momentum Risk Solutions, where he will underwrite Political Violence (PV) business. Momentum, part of Chedid Capital, a Lebanon-based investment group specializing in insurance, has a strong presence with several subsidiaries, including Chedid Re.
Mr. Bird brings over 25 years of experience in the industry. He worked at Talbot since 2023 as a senior class underwriter within the Political Violence team. Prior to that, he led the global terrorism facultative team at Aon. Mr. Bird’s career also includes underwriting roles at QBE and Canopius in Singapore, as well as broking positions at Miller, Marsh, and JLT.
The Political Violence market has witnessed a period of significant staff movement over the past year, driven by the influx of new capacity. It is important to note that Mr. Edward Traboulsi serves as the CEO of Momentum Insurance Agents.
