SCR concluded a Strategic Partnership with AIG

Société Centrale de Réassurance (SCR), a subsidiary of Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) Group, has entered into a strategic partnership with « American International Group » (AIG), who are both members of the CFC community respectively since 2018 and 2014.

Together, SCR and AIG have demonstrated a joint capacity to create new insurance products and leverage reinsurance capacity for the needs of companies operating in West Africa.

The partnership intends to promote the underwriting of new insurance lines in West African countries and also to make the reinsurance offer more dynamic on the continent by proposing joint solutions based on the synergies and the quality of services.

This partnership was initiated following a series of workshops organized by the CFC Authority to foster the emergence of a true collective synergy between the members of the financial center.

During his speech, Mr. Youssef Fassi Fihri, General Manager of the SCR stated that: «This strategic partnership will have a positive impact on the reinsurance offer at the level of the African Continent and it will undoubtedly increase the penetration rates of some niche products». .

Mr. Said Ibrahimi, CEO of Casablanca Finance City Authority, commented: «We are proud of this partnership that emerged from the several workshops conducted by CFC. This partnership is a perfect example of what we want to promote at CFC, namely a synergy of expertise and know-how among CFC members. »
