Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski Unveils New Name as Kempinski Palace Cairo and Announces Landmark Transformation

Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski announces a new chapter in its story with the official renaming of the hotel to Kempinski Palace Cairo, reinforcing its identity as one of the capital’s most distinguished palace destinations and marking the beginning of an exciting evolution for the property.

The new name reflects the hotel’s distinct architectural character and palatial grandeur, while further aligning the property with Kempinski’s tradition of iconic palace hotels across the world.

‘The renaming of the hotel to Kempinski Palace Cairo marks an important milestone in the evolution of this remarkable property,’ said Stefan Masche, General Manager. ‘The palace has always held a distinctive place in Cairo’s luxury hospitality landscape. With this new identity and the planned enhancements, our ambition is to elevate the experience further while honouring the architectural and cultural heritage that make this property truly unique.’

Looking ahead, Kempinski Palace Cairo will also embark on a comprehensive renovation programme scheduled to start during the second half of 2026. The transformation will introduce a refined design language across key public spaces, guest accommodations and lifestyle venues, blending timeless sophistication with contemporary design. Further details regarding the renovation programme and upcoming dining concepts will be revealed in the coming months as Kempinski Palace Cairo continues to shape its next chapter.

The transformation will be led by the property’s owning company, Organi Group, through its development arm, Organi Development & Investment (ODI), underscoring the group’s vision to further elevate the palace’s position within Cairo’s luxury hospitality landscape.

The redesign will be led by Hany Saad Innovations, the Cairo-based design studio founded by renowned architect Hany Saad. Established in 2003, the firm has delivered hundreds of projects across the Middle East and Africa, spanning luxury residences, hospitality destinations and mixed-use developments. Known for its expressive architectural language and sophisticated material palettes, the studio brings a contemporary interpretation of luxury design while maintaining a strong sense of place and identity.

Architectural development and planning will be undertaken in collaboration with El Ghoneimi Architects, a respected Egyptian architectural practice recognised for its expertise in large-scale developments, master planning and architectural engineering. Their role will ensure the seamless integration of the new design vision with the palace’s existing architectural framework.

Together, the two studios will enhance the hotel’s palatial environment while introducing carefully curated design elements that elevate the guest journey and create a renewed sense of arrival throughout the property.

A central element of the future transformation will be a strong focus on new and enhanced food-and-beverage dining concepts, positioning Kempinski Palace Cairo as a vibrant culinary destination within New Cairo’s evolving dining scene. The upcoming venues will introduce distinctive international concepts, refined dining experiences and dynamic social spaces designed to appeal to both global travellers and Cairo’s sophisticated local community.
