الجزائر  تلقي القبض على عملاق عالم السيارات في قضية كسب غير مشروع

اعتقال العديد من السياسيين ورجال الأعمال المعروفين بصلاتهم بالرئيس السابق عبد العزيز بوتفليقة.

 

الجزائر العاصمة– قامت السلطات الجزائرية يوم الاثنين باعتقال أحد عمالقة صناعة السيارات المعروف بصلته بالرئيس المخلوع عبد العزيز بوتفليقة على خلفية قضايا  فساد كما جاء على لسان أحد محاميه.

وفقاً لما أفاد به المحامي خالد بورايو لوكالة فرانس برس، فإنه قد تم اعتقال محي الدين طحكوت بالإضافة إلى ابنه واثنين من أشقائه على خلفية إتهامات متعلقة بالفساد وغسيل الأموال.

وقد جاء قرار اعتقالهم بعد يوم من استجوابهم من قبل قاضي التحقيق  وفقاً لما أشارت إليه وكالة الأنباء الجزائرية الرسمية.

الجدير بالذكر أن وسائل الإعلام الخاصة قد قالت أن طحكوت، الذي يمتلك العديد من الوكالات التجارية الأجنبية في عالم السيارات، تم اتهامه بالحصول على “امتيازات غير مشروعة” خلال عهد بوتفليقة الذي أرغِم على التنحي في نيسان بعد مظاهرات مناهضة له استمرت لعدة أسابيع.

ويتولى طحكوت وأفراد أسرته إدارة شركة طحكوت للتصنيع والتي تقوم بتجميع السيارات في الجزائر لصالح شركة هيونداي الكورية الجنوبية.

تجدر الإشارة إلى أنه قد تم اعتقال أو استجواب العديد من السياسيين ورجال الأعمال البارزين المعروفين بصلاتهم ببوتفليقة في قضايا متعلقة بفساد منذ إجبار الرئيس المريض على التنحي في 3 نيسان.

وقد أعلنت وزارة العدل يوم الاثنين أن مجلس الأمة الجزائري سيصوت يوم الاثنين الموافق 19 حزيران على طلب  رفع الحصانة البرلمانية عن وزيرين من عهد بوتفليقة وهما سعيد بركات وجمال ولد عباس.

ولم تحدد وزارة العدل السبب وراء هذا الطلب ولكن وسائل إعلام محلية أشارت إلى أن الوزارة تريد التحقيق معهما بخصوص “اختلاس أموال من وزارة التضامن الوطني التي سبق لهما تولي حقيبتها”.

وقد شغل بركات مناصب وزير الزراعة والصحة والتضامن الوطني خلال الفترة بين الأعوام 1999 و 2012.

وكذلك شغل ولد عباس منصب وزير التضامن الوطني والتشغيل ووزير الصحة خلال الفترة نفسها.

وقد كان كلاهما ضمن أعضاء مجلس الأمة منذ العام 2013 بتعيين من الرئيس الجزائري آنذاك بوتفليقة الذي كان يتولى تعيين ثلث أعضاء المجلس.

Algeria detains car tycoon in graft case

Several politicians and businessmen linked to Bouteflika have been detained

Algiers – Algerian authorities on Monday detained an automobile tycoon linked to ousted president Abdul Aziz Bouteflika on charges of corruption, one of his lawyers said.

Mahieddine Tahkout “was detained along with his son and two of his brothers on charges of corruption and money laundering”, the lawyer Khalid Bourayou told AFP.

The decision to detain them came a day after they were questioned by an investigative judge, the official APS news agency said.

Private media said Tahkout, who holds several foreign car dealerships, was accused of “undue privileges” under the rule of Bouteflika, who was forced to step down in April after weeks of protests.

Tahkout and the family members run the Tahkout Manufacturing Company (TMC) which assembles vehicles in Algeria for South Korean carmaker Hyundai.

Several prominent politicians and businessmen linked to Bouteflika have been detained or questioned in connection with corruption since the ailing president was forced to step down on April 3.

The justice ministry said on Monday that Algeria’s upper house would vote on June 19 on whether to lift the parliamentary immunity of two Bouteflika-era ministers – Said Barkat and Djamel Ould Abbes.

It did not specify the reason behind its request but local media has reported the ministry wants them tried in connection to a probe on the “misappropriation of funds within the ministry of national solidarity they directed”.

Barkat served successively as minister of agriculture, health and national solidarity between 1999 and 2012.

Ould Abbes was minister of national solidarity, employment and health during the same period.

They have both been members of the upper house of parliament since 2013, appointed by the president, then Bouteflika, who nominates one-third of the body’s members.
