Through the Eyes of La Gioconda: Cubism in Perfect Proportion

Fairmont Ajman was honoured to welcome His Excellency Mahmood Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Tourism Department, for the opening of “Through the Eyes of La Gioconda: Cubism in Perfect Proportion,” a solo exhibition by artist Mona Al Jabali, held on 20 September 2026.

Together with Ahmed Gaafar, Hotel Manager of Fairmont Ajman, hotel executives and members of the arts and cultural community, His Excellency explored a collection of works that present the artist’s distinctive interpretation of Cubism, transforming familiar subjects through geometry, multiple perspectives and expressive colour.

The exhibition reflects Fairmont Ajman’s commitment to creating a space where hospitality, art and culture come together, while supporting Ajman’s growing creative community.

The artworks will remain on display at Fairmont Ajman for two months, giving hotel guests and visitors the opportunity to discover and experience the collection throughout the exhibition period.
